A dedicated 6th Form Centre was created at the school consisting of a suite of new classrooms, group rooms, IT room, common room and toilets. All new teaching spaces have state of the art IT facilities.
The mono pitch roofs were chosen to encourages good natural ventilation and provide a high level of natural lighting. The section encourages ‘stack effect’ with low and high level opening windows. Extensive windows facing north allow high levels of daylight deep into the building without risk of summer overheating. An underfloor heating system provides good comfort levels during wintertime.
