The proposed site for this new-build dwelling is set within the Green Belt. The design sets out to achieve privacy from adjacent properties and exploit excellent views over the surrounding countryside. The design carefully integrates the proposed dwelling and pool house into the landscape through the use of hard and soft screening and earth-sheltered construction. Internal planning of the main house allows for flexibility in use, particularly in respect to the principal dining and living areas.
Sustainable materials with timber frame construction have been specified throughout. Underfloor heating, driven by a ground source heat pump, give the building a low carbon footprint.
