The purpose of this project was to provide affordable homes in the village to people who were unable to compete in the local property market. Many of the new occupants had found it difficult to remain in the village.

Careful attention has been given to the design with roof lines kept low and traditional good quality materials used to reflect the character of the existing village.

Projects like this help villages retain local lifeblood and help give people a future in the community with which they have developed strong connections. There is no right to buy so when the houses are re-let or sold again, local people will have priority.
